Jack Lemon tries to curry favor at the office by loaning his apartment to co-workers for their romantic pursuits. Hilarious hijinks ensue. Also starring Shirley MacLaine, Fred MacMurray, and everyone's favorite Martian, Ray Walston. Directed by Billy Wilder (Some Like It Hot, Sunset Boulevard).

Episode 50: Down and Out in Beverly Hills (1986)

Matthew's new apartment fell through, so he's been homeless for a few weeks, with a few more weeks to come. Which leads us to this meditation on homelessness. Directed by Paul Mazursky, with Nick Nolte, Richard Dreyfuss, Bette Midler, Elizabeth Pena, and Little Richard.

Episode 49: Damnation Alley (1977)

Jan Michael Vincent and George Peppard struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic landscape plagued by giant scorpions, massive storms, and a skyline of odd and shifting colors. Sounds like a normal day in modern Los Angeles. Also featuring the talents of Paul Winfield, Dominique Sanda, and Jackie Earle Haley. Directed by Jack Smight (Harper).

Episode 48: Spider Baby (1967)

. . . or, the Maddest Story Ever Told. This legendary cult classic was written and directed by Jack Hill, and it even boasts an appearance by Lon Chaney, Jr. This is not one to miss.

James Bond was brought to vivid life by Sean Connery was James Bond. Matt Helm was . . . well, we'll talk about it, when we dissect The Silencers, starring Dean Martin, Victor Buono, Stella Stevens, and host of other faces you've seen a million times.

Episode 46: Point Blank (1967)

Fasten your seatbelts for this wild ride with one of the best of the Neo-Noir. Somebody done Lee Marvin wrong and he's going to set it right, no matter what it takes. Directed by John Boorman (Deliverance), with Angie Dickinson, Carrol O'Connor, and Keenan Wynn.

Episode 45: Thief (1981)

It's an old story. Gotta do one last job for the mob, and then I can pack it in. But nobody delivers like James Caan, leading an incredible cast including Tuesday Weld, Willie Nelson, Jim Belushi, Robert Prosky, Dennis Farina, and our buddy John Kapelos. Michael Mann directs from his screenplay.

Episode 44: Race with the Devil (1975)

Boy oh boy, did we disagree about this one. A devil-worshipping cult terrorizes two vacationing couples who witness something they shouldn't. No doubt the sheriff will help them out. Starring Peter Fonda, Warren Oates, Loretta Swit, Lara Parker, and R.G. Armstrong. Directed by Jack Starrett, written by Lee Frost and Wes Bishop.

The James Bond movies were big hits. This wasn't. But it does have Elke Sommer.

Episode 42: Wolfen (1981)

In 1981 New York City got some of its own werewolves. We're not to be outdone by Warren Zevon and David Naughton. Nuh-uh. No way. Albert Finney, Diane Venora, Gregory Hines, Edward James Olmos, and Tom Noonan star.
