Each week we dissect one movie and whatever else strikes our fancy. Informed opinions, inside information, occasional guests, personal stories, and tons of spoilers. Thursday Mar 04, 2021
Thursday Mar 04, 2021
In which we get into a heated debate as to whether Mike Hammer is a good guy or not. Regardless, this movie is a must-see, if you can find it. Ralph Meeker is Mike Hammer, one of the hardest-boiled detectives you'll ever meet. Think a 23-minute egg and you'll get the idea. Also featuring the late and very great Cloris Leachman and directed by Robert Aldrich, whose hits include What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte, The Flight of the Phoenix, The Dirty Dozen, and The Longest Yard.
